Fire wood to photo board

Monday, August 2, 2010

So once upon a time I took this old piece of wood..

sanded it all up pretty good... used some Cricut letter cut-outs and glued them down a tiny bit after painting spots where the letters would be..{the letters look like the wood, but they are just cardboard colored cardstock}

painted my board black right over the cut-out letters then took my letters off and painted a clear finish on it...

Handsome Hubby drilled holes in the top and I added pretty blue ribbon to match...
{I love my knots!}

In between working on this project and others I painted clothespins and glued scrapbook paper pieces to them...
{I love decorated clothespins!}

hot glued my pretty clothespins to the board...

and added some pictures for display!
{these are the only ones of us I could find. Since we're not at our home all summer we don't have all our photos.. so I found these ones in our Bibles and wallets! .. free information for ya!}

I "LOVE" my photo board! {or note holder.. or.. whatever!}

What a great idea! Kudos! I never would have thought to use clothes pins to hold pictures. Maybe I will try this one day and post it on my blog - I'll give you credit, of course. :)

Great way to display pics and to be able to change them out.
