Trailer Shop Boutique?

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Once upon a time I was browsing through a cute blog and bumped into this picture and fell in love...

source
It is THE. MOST. ADORABLE. trailer I have EVER seen!!!

I want it!

... and my husband think it's UGLY!

I thought it would be SOOO cute and fun to have a trailer just like, color and all, take out the stove, bathroom and other parts and carry all my shop stuff in it, displayed all pretty (that is, when I make more stuff consistently and my shop grows!) and have the trailer as a little shop boutique!

... and my husband thinks I'm CRAZY!

I said I'm looking for one of these darling babies when we have our own house someday to do just all of this!

... and my husband said he'd be EMBARRASSED!

Anyway, that's my new dream :)
{... I haven't even gotten as far as reaching the goal of selling at a craft market yet! HAHA!}

.. And my husband will love me anyways. ..

Valentine Favorites on Pinterest

Friday, January 27, 2012

I've been finding some fun Valentine's Day stuff on Pinterest this week, and thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you!
{Click photos for the source}

Not much into the whole crafting bit, but still want something cute on your shelf or mantel? Wrap a paper doily and heart cut out around a jar and tie with some decorative twine or string- simple! I thought about doing this and putting little candles inside!

How cute is this dress with a heart shaped cut out?!
Wear anything underneath to show up a pretty colored or designed heart!
Perfect attire for the big special day!

 Or how about a love letter t-shirt?
Grab a bleach pen and t-shirt and write down a sweet little note on the shirt!
{Be sure to check out this tutorial to see some further important instructions}

If there's one thing I know my husband loves, it's BACON! I think these strips of bacon folded into hearts would really speak volumes to him for breakfast on Valentine's Day! :)

I think strands of lights hanging or dangling over something is just so cozy and romantic.
Hang strands of white Christmas lights and pop on some white paper doily hearts for a cozy, romantic valentine feeling! {I really want to do this RIGHT NOW, but I don't have white christmas lights on the white cords.. just the ugly stand-out green cords..}

Make a set of these paper heart bookmarks and gift them to a friend, maybe along with some stationary or set of cards. Super cute and looks pretty easy too!

Okay now, I just fell in love with these two gorgeous wreaths!
They are my favorite Valentine finds so far! I want to make both of them!

If I had burlap material I would have made this one already!

I just loooooove Valentine stuff! :)

Hope you enjoyed those fun finds.

I Finally Caved In!

Friday, November 4, 2011

Well, I did it folks. I finally created myself a Pinterest account. I really hadn't wanted to because I thought it would just be another thing to keep me sitting around on the computer for more hours in a day!! But I think it's such a great way to store all your ideas and be able to go right back to the source you found it. So much more convenient then saving photos in a file on the computer.. yes, that's what I was doing before.. I know. Lame. Cause I bet for more than half of the files I've saved over the past couple of years I wouldn't be able to find the source again.. even though I tried renaming the photos with the name of the blog I found it from! Anyway, enough of that, so I created a Pinterest account. Not just for the convenience of course, it's also such an inspiring place to be! Love it! But I have to admit, I sit around getting inspired from the internet way too much and not actually putting all that inspiration to work. Am I the only one??

Come find me on Pinterest and see my taste!

I also added the "follow me" button to my right side bar --->

Backyard Movie Night Inspiration

Friday, July 29, 2011

 I'm dying to do a backyard movie night! .. okay, so we don't exactly have a backyard, but there's a perfect grassy spot out behind our apartments. It would be so much!! We could invite everyone from our church, and I even thought it would be really neat to invite other people we bump into or happen to talk to- yes strangers! And also post a little sign on the apartment bulletin board, inviting neighbors too. "Bring your lawn chairs" of course :) Ah! I am so inspired after looking through so many outdoor movie ideas online! So I thought I'd share some with you!

Isn't this set up just so perfect!?

Definitely gotta have some snacks if we're hosting our own little movie party!
And I love the wagon idea!

A basket of little blankets is so sweet to provide!
Ya never know, the weather might be cool in the evenings.

And for sure, you can't have a movie night without POPCORN!

So are you inspired too??
I just have to do this! I have feel like I'm letting the summer slip away from me..

Here are a couple sites that share tips on putting on a nice outdoor movie night

OH And don't forget the BUG SPRAY!!!!

Dresser as kitchen island

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Lately I've really been thinking about how I would LOVE to redo a dresser and put it in our kitchen for an island. I told my Hubby about this idea and he thought it was a neat one too! We have the space and it would be really nice to have an extra spot for cutting and food prepping. It would be perfect, since we live in an apartment, and it wouldn't be a permanent change to the place.

This is our kitchen

Here are some ideas I found and I like the idea more and more!

My favorite one is the top blue one. I just love how the sides can be used for hanging utensils, paper towel racks, and other things! If you click the link for the top blue dresser, you'll see that they used the space for putting a large chalk board up- ingenious! I would like to cover the top of the dresser with butcher block or something that can be used for cutting on.

 I am so inspired now!
This is definitely on my "to do" list.

I'm in love with this living room!

Saturday, January 22, 2011

The Yellow Cape Cod shares about her striped curtains, and I have completely fallen in love with them and EVERYTHING ELSE in her living room! It all looks so beautiful!
My mom has curtains coming for me in the mail. There are white panels for our living room and I just might try this! We don't really have any sure colors going through our apartment yet, but I just might make these colors work!

I'm so inspired!

Happy Christmas Creativities!

I'd love to do a party!

Sunday, September 12, 2010

A few nights ago I was up late while my husband and a friend of ours played several chess games one after another. One game of chess seriously takes them over an hour! Us wives laugh and make fun of them for it. So while they were quietly concentrating on each life altering move {not a peep for reals!.. I don't know how it's possible!} I randomly came across the coolest blog!

For the last couple of days this has been my new favorite blog! I've been looking through all of her posts and there are a TON of great ideas. Go have a look if you've never heard of this blog. She mostly blogs about party ideas and decor, which totally inspired me. Now I want to have my own party.. but I need a reason for one! .. right? We're going to be back in our apartment next Thursday after being gone all summer in another province!.. Could that count as a reason? Could we throw our own "welcome home" party?! {haha!}
Anyway, I loved all the ideas and inspiration I found on this super cool and new favorite blog. I saved a bunch of ideas and will store them away for future reference.. {hoping to have an excuse to try them out soon!}

Just to share a few inspiring ideas ...

 Totally can't wait for an opportunity to try this out!

 Just love the way everything is set up so nicely and adorably!
{this is just one photo so go check out the other set ups}

.. I could SO do that!
{we don't have kids, but hey, adults adore candy too, right?!}

Doesn't this look like fun?
Notice the chandelier hanging from the tree? That's my favorite part!
I'm telling you, I am so super inspired.

Awwww!

Now this is just "plum"sweet!
Never have I thought about using fruit like that

Very fun! I'll try these out tooooooo!

There are SO many great ideas for cupcake stands out there!
How thrifty is this!?

Those are just SOME of the fun inspiring things I found over there. Now get yourself over to this blog and be inspired to do your own sweet party!
{shower, reception, just for fun.. whatever!}
